Dr. Dermot Hogan :: Technical Editor
Dermot holds a Ph.D in physics from the University of Cambridge. A specialist in realtime trading technologies, he has managed and developed global risk management systems for major international banks and financial institutions. He has programmed in languages too numerous to mention. For seven years he wrote the Visual Basic programming column for PC Plus magazine. He now works as a consultant and writer. He has recently worked in conjunction with an Australian telecommunications company on developing Internet operated telescope guiding, imaging and control systems. He is the lead developer of the Sapphire In Steel IDE for programming Ruby using Visual Studio 2005.
