A) Author’s Agreement and Copyright

By submitting any material for publication by Bitwise Magazine or hosted on the Bitwise Magazine web site (www.bitwisemag.com) you (‘the Author’) acknowledge that you have read and understand the terms of this agreement and that you agree to them. In relation to all material supplied to Bitwise Magazine (‘The Material’), which may include text, pictures, source code or other materials, the Author agrees as follows:

1. The Material will, to the best of the Author’s knowledge and belief, not infringe copyright or other actionable right or contain any defamatory matter and that all statements in The Material will be true.

2. That Bitwise Magazine is under no obligation to publish The Material.

3. That Bitwise Magazine has the right to edit and adapt The Material.

4. Publishing Rights

i) The Author grants to Bitwise Magazine and Dark Neon Ltd. for the full period of copyright the right to publish The Material online at the Bitwise Magazine web site.

ii) Bitwise Magazine and Dark Neon Ltd will have exclusive rights to publish The Material for six months from the date of first publication and the Author agrees not to publish the Material or allow publication of it elsewhere during this period without specific consent from Bitwise Magazine.

5. Copyright remains with the Author.

Notes:

1. Bitwise Magazine may occasionally wish to reproduce or republish The Material on other media such as but not limited to CD or DVD or in other document formats such as but not limited to PDF. Bitwise Magazine agrees not to republish The Material without the specific consent of the Author.

2. The Author may wish to republish The Material on his or her web site, or elsewhere, prior to six months from the date of publication in Bitwise Magazine. The Author may request permission to republish The Material at this time but agrees not to do so without the specific consent of Bitwise Magazine.

B) Content Permissions

1. All material on the Bitwise Magazine site (www.bitwisemag.com) and the associated Rants & Raves site (www.rantsandraves.co.uk) is copyright unless otherwise stated.

2. You may post hyperlinks to Bitwise Magazine and Rants and Raves articles, clearly stating the source. However, you may not reprint, reproduce, redistribute or republish any content from these sites including but not limited to text, pictures, source code, video, audio and other materials without explicit consent. To request permission to reproduce any materials from Bitwise Magazine or Rants and Raves, please refer to the details on our Contacts page.
