CHROME COMPETITION :: ENDED

THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW ENDED
WINNERS ANNOUNCED

FINAL CHANCE ! RemObjects has given us another Three Copies of Chrome to be won this month...
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO WIN...!

WIN A COPY OF REMOBJECTS’ CHROME FOR .NET
As sold for EUR 199 (about $240)

We have three full copies of RemObjects’ Chrome to give away this month. The winner will be able to download the software and unlock it with a full licence.

THE LANGUAGE

Chrome is a modern Object Pascal compiler for the Microsoft .NET and Mono frameworks. It provides a number of innovative features including generics, first class namespace support, asynchronous methods, operator overloading, inline variables in for loops, and case statements which operate on non-ordinal types such as strings. For a full list of the features of the language, see HERE. For a short introduction to programming with Chrome, see HERE.

Chrome integrates into Visual Studio 2003 and 2005. Visual Studio 2005’s Debug Hints allow you to inspect variables and expressions in your code simply by hovering over them (in this example, ListA, which is a List<Integer>) with the mouse. As with the Locals and Watches views, you can drill down into sub-members of the inspected item, allowing you to easily inspect the details of complex class structures with nothing more than a few mouse moves.

VISUAL STUDIO INTEGRATION

Chrome integrates into Visual Studio as a first class citizen to give you the exact same development experience that you get with Microsoft's own languages such as C# and Visual Basic (you will need a copy of Visual Studio in order to make full use of the features of Chrome).

AN INSIDE VIEW OF CHROME

For a more in-depth discussion of Chrome read the Bitwise interview with RemObjects’ Chief Architect .NET, marc hoffman.
