The programming world has been going
through a time of enormous change in recent years.
New languages and programming platforms such as C# and .NET have
emerged. Borland's Pascal product, Delphi,
has been challenged by a rival product, Chrome,
whose architect has, in an exclusive interview with
bitwise, accused Borland of failing to innovate. Meanwhile,
Delphi has gained a .NET version of its VCL component
library to enable existing users to migrate easily
from Win32, while Microsoft has provided its Visual
Basic programmers
with no comparable migration path. And what about Java and C++?
Where are these languages going....? When bitwise editor,
Huw Collingbourne, met Borland's Vice President of
Developer Relations, David Intersimone, in London recently,
they had a lot to talk about. Watch the videos
for some insights into Borland's view of future programming
developments....
